Here is the review of our stay in one of the most beautiful hotels in Lanzarote, Melia Salinas. I should confess that this time wasn’t me who have chosen the place but him.
The hotel
The staff of the hotel knows how to do it. They are very friendly, smiley and helpful. There is a warm welcome with a glass of champaign. It was classified as Artistic and Cultural Heritage of Lanzarote. It was awarded with the Pritzker price for its architecture. Hotel Melia Salinas Lanzarote was designed by Fernando Hugueras.
My favorite place in Melia Salinas remains the beautiful inside garden situated in the heart of the hotel. More than 300 green plants make from this place an Artistic and Cultural Heritage of Lanzarote.
The location
Situated at Costa Teguise, only 15 km from the airport, hotel Melia Salinas has a direct access to the beach. This resort is offering multiple activities, so you are sure to spend a unique Holiday. For me, there was reading and pool for the 6 days we spent here, but if you are a sports lover, you can take some dance classes, water fitness, yoga & pilates, tennis and ping pong competitions.
The offer
Melia Salinas offers what I call an accessible luxury. When speaking about food and restaurant, Melia Salinas resort in Costa Teguise has 3 beautiful restaurants. Half Board offer includes breakfast and dinner. The buffet is very rich and the food is prepared right in front of your eyes, for the dinner. Meat, fish, vegetables, fruits, everybody can find happiness in Melia Salinas.
The room
Premium room with a sea view. They, of course, have a different range of rooms. We took the one with the view to the sea and the pool. The room has a nice terrace where you can enjoy a glass of champagne or wine. They are of course spacious with a nice bathroom with Italian shower.
The facilities
As I mentioned 3 restaurants are available in the hotel. If you are sport addicted like my boyfriend, you can spend some hours in the gym. There are plenty of sports facilities. During the hot summer night, you can sip a cocktail on the beach bar. It is open almost during the whole year, but if you are going off-season, be sure to check the opening hours.
I hope this review will give you an insight into the quality of the hotel and you will be able to gain some time when choosing the place to spend your holidays.
